Hello my friends!

Women In Good Company™️ is launching September 28th!

We are a private social club and personal development community that will be offering delightful experiences with a charitable component. Many of you may remember my "Mes Amis" events from 2003. "Mes Amis" means "my friends" in French and you have been hand-picked to be in the room with us on October 15th.

This experience is for members of Women In Good Company™️ and for those who wish to connect and network with other interesting guests as well as give back to our community. Yes, men are invited and also encouraged as members, as allies and supporters. As we launch on October 5th, I will send you your exclusive membership invitation. In the meantime, I encourage each of you to please join our waitlist.

This experience will allow a portion of the proceeds to go directly to benefit the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center to help empower individuals, engage communities, and to end domestic violence. We will be happy to provide a tax deductible letter for your donation.

About our venue...

We have chosen the historic 22-acre Cedarwood Farm, a beautiful working horse farm located in the small seaside town of Ipswich (incorporated in 1634), Massachusetts for our first experience.

This autumn farm and horse experience kicks off with a welcome in the "gentleman's room" to place your cloak and to grab your glass of bubbly or mulled cider before heading into the party.

We will then cozy up inside to gather and enjoy our food and wine experience with a beautiful selection of wines and passed succulent and sumptuous hors d'oevres and charcuterie. You can be sure to enjoy food that is not only pleasing to the eye but that will tickle your tastebuds locally sourced from both Marini and Tendercrop Farms.

Cedarwood Farm has a bit of celebrity status as recently the site of two motion picture films. In March of 2022, the main house was chosen and was meticuously restored on HGTV's "Farmhouse Fixer" as a farmhouse renovation project under Jonathan Knight. It is currrently owned and loved by two local dentists, Dr. Corine Barone and Dr. Michael Cognata.

Corine has always had a passion for horses and all animals. As a practicing pediatric dentist, she had always pictured a petting zoo with her office. That is how "Doc", her miniature horse, came into her life! You will have a chance to mingle and meet Corine during the evening as well as tour all rooms and levels of this amazing home.

About the Chef...

Our Chef for the evening is a 2022 Northshore Magazine Editor's Choice BONS winner, Chef Christopher Destefano.

From professional kitchens to farm fields, food photoshoots, and all the way to the streets of Paris, Christopher has been in the food industry for over two decades. As a chef, food stylist and writer, Christopher is comfortable in any locale that allows him to express his creativity and passion for food.

Christopher was trained at the Cambridge Culinary Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts and his award winning career has allowed him such titles as Personal Chef, Executive Chef, restaurant owner, Director of culinary tours in Paris, Creator of the Dinner on the Farm series and stylist for corporate food brands from frozen pasta to gelato.

Christopher lives in Ipswich, Massachusetts where he runs Table Manners, an online specialty food emporium, and is working on his cook book and memoir, "Misfit".

You will also enjoy live piano and song by Lynne Taylor performing sonic food for the soul.

In the living room, while enjoying your wine by the roaring fire, we are in for a treat for sure!

A 2017 finalist in both the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest and the Philadelphia Songwriters Project Songwriting Competition, Lynne Taylor has been an important musical voice in New England for nearly 30 years.

"Lynne Taylor is like a voice in the wilderness, howling for truth and justice."~ Diane Crowe WMCB.

Her music has evolved as she has, and is always pushing conventions and boundaries in the realm of social and personal awareness. Her lyrics range from dark and moody to hopeful and uplifting. The daughter of a folk musician and a poet, Lynne grew up in Kent, Ohio during the sixties and seventies, and absorbed the social consciousness of that time. She has always felt music to be her calling.

Accompanying herself on piano, she began writing her own songs at the age of fourteen, and has been performing professionally ever since in a wide variety of genres ranging from bluegrass to punk rock and everything in between. Lynne’s music is characterized by poignant, brutally honest songwriting combined with powerful vocals and unique piano accompaniment. "Vocally and lyrically, artists like Tori Amos come to mind, and then she hits you with a Michelle Shocked kinda vibe, and next thing you know, it's like Ricki Lee Jones." ~ Dana Marshall WXRV 92.5 The River

A staple on the music scene in her adopted hometown of Newburyport, MA, she has been performing professionally across the eastern US since 1985. In addition to being a popular solo artist, Lynne can also be found as half of the Americana duo, Rockwood Taylor. Lynne has played such venues as The Firehouse Center for the Arts, (MA) Port City Blue, (ME) The Press Room, (NH) The Blue Plate Special, (TN) Kimbro’s, (TN) Ardmore Music Hall, (PA) The Purple Fiddle, (WV) The New Moon Coffeehouse, (MA) The Sunapee Coffeehouse, (NH) and Cat in the Cradle Coffeehouse (MA) as well as numerous Festivals including Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, (NY) The Granite State Music Festival, (NH) and the Byfield Music and Arts Festival (MA.) Her CD, “Shades of Blue” charted in the top 25 on both FAI folk DJ and Roots Music Report charts in November and December 2019 and the title track was the #1 Alternative folk single for the week of January 4, 2020. She has shared the stage with countless top notch artists, from Odetta to Peter Mulvey.
