About Lisa Christine

As a born-and-raised Pittsburgh girl with nothing more than passion, my God given talents and gifts, and a dream, I've built a fulfilling life.

I take pride that I was able to buy my dream beach house and a sailboat as well as wake up with waterviews here on Plum Island, in Newburyport.  I spoke words into reality.

I launched a consulting business, Bateau Ventures and also crafted a global Entrepreneurial Feeder, 28 Carrots. All about collaboration over competition, this community allowed me to enoy coaching, leading, and elevating women through curated shared experiences like our "Cocktails and Conversations" events and others including the SBA InnovateHER here in Massachussets for two years in a row.

My joy lies in fostering inspiring connections, camaraderie, and community. My personal mission is to empower, motivate, educate and create with individuals and companies, like yours, so we can dream big, make impactful choices, and foster innovation—backed by tangible action and results. My intention is to give back generously.

In our journey of growth, I heard how important camararedie, connections, and collaboration was to my membershiip.. So, I rebranded and reframed the mission to be the current Women in Good Company™️. This has evolved into a world-class community of women where women opt for giving back, contributing and celebrating together. Our mission is to build a vibrant global community founded on connection, resilience, and compassion.

One of the things I’m often asked is...

"How did you end up doing this?"

"How did you make your vision come to life?

For as long as memory serves, I've harbored a desire to grace the stage and entertain crowds. In my cherished Italian family, I orchestrated activities and sing-alongs at holiday gatherings, foreshadowing my future endeavors.

My advocacy for women started early on, from being a "champion of women" in the Girl Scouts and as an active member and leader of Kappa Delta Sorority in college.  in Boston,  I assumed leadership roles in Women in Technology International, The Women's Leadership and Technology Consortium, and The Junior League of Boston. Over the past decade, I've cultivated a global community, fostering connections, collaboration, and celebration.

My professional journey commenced as a Press Secretary for a female congressional candidate in West Virginia, overseeing the largest district east of the Mississippi. Over 25 years, working for others such as American Airlines, Talbots, AT&T, IBM and MIT, I excelled in sales, business development, and strategic partnerships earning numerous awards and orchestrating lucrative deals. I honed the art of building relationships that yield results and leveraging connections for positive impact.

After many successes, a few failures and a lot of reflection, I realized that my unusual combination of interests and skills was a strength, not a liability. I gave up the security of the 9-5 and took the leap to build a coaching, speaking, and training business from the ground up.

I have derived incredible joy in helping thousands of clients and colleagues with my words of encouragement, empowerment, and entertainment.

I have coached senior corporate executives, a billion-dollar heiress, and many women entrepreneurs. I have been blessed to be an intrapreneur and entrepreneur in the corporate world and to follow my passions. In fact, while at IBM, I wrote a well-recieved thesis titled "Leadership in Entrepreneurial Organizations: The Role of the Intrapreneur vs. the Role of Entrepreneur" which included many interviews with leaders, including Mark Cuban.

I believe in giving back to my community and impacting lives. Currently, I am focused on supporting the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, an organization committed to empower, engage and end domestic violence in our community and Sweet Paws Rescue,  a rescue organization helping save one human at a time.

I love the life I live. And I am happy to help you achieve the same. My soul purpose is to creatively express. My personal mission is to empower, motivate, educate, and create with others so I can give back generously.

Beyond my professional life, I'm passionate about gourmet cooking, sailing, my dogs (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retrievers, "Camden" and "Jasper" and my Maltese, "Jack Henri". I enjoy planning curated events and experiences, stand-up comedy, entrepreneurship, French culture, creativity, and philanthropy.

This same fervor and wisdom is infused in my boutique coaching practice, speaking engagements, and training sessions. Learn more by visiting me at Women in Good Company™️ and on LinkedIn.
